post:<\/p>\n<p>Lots going on this week, we finally got a machine mounted near the door running Greg&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smsmybus.com\/\">SMSMyBus<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smsmybus.com\/sector67\">custom bus stop<\/a> to allow anyone realtime tracking on buses on Winnebago and E Washington streets:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sector67.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSC00564.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[674]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-675\" from our first meeting of <a href=\"http:\/\/groups.google.com\/group\/southern-wi-3d-printers\">the Southern WI 3D printers group<\/a>:<br \/>\n<a watertight, but leak alcohol like crazy:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sector67.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/S67-Cups.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[674]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-696\" title=\"S67 Cups\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sector67.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/S67-Cups-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" air leak and insulation missing in the building, in addition to finding rafters through drywall and steel beams hiding behind insulation it was really helpful in looking at temperature distribution throughout the Makerbots.\u00a0 It&#8217;s equipped with a black and white viewfinder but the real show is on the RCA video output that was hacked in to give color video output:<\/p>\n<p><a of batteries. . .\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure how much the company saved by putting in tiny H bridges that can&#8217;t handle the current from a fresh set of AA batteries, but there&#8217;s likely a reason there was no brand name on the entire device: (dead chip removed, was 8 lead SOIC package towards the center, now a big open spot)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sector67.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSC00618.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[674]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-690\" (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>DreamBike&#8217;s bicycle blender is coming along really well.\u00a0 A direct drive mechanical solution is currently implemented, initially a single power takeoff was installed relying on rack and wheel stiffness for blending capability.\u00a0 It was quickly realized that side-loading a bicycle rim was not ideal, and an idler would be necessary for good power generation.\u00a0 An old skateboard wheel and bearings was sourced and quickly installed.\u00a0 Performance goals are definitely met, barely pedaling quickly results in a fully blended ice
