We took a trip up to Tormach, a Waunakee company whose mission is to provide “geeks with tools” including CNC mills, lathes, 3D scanners, (and it looks like coming soon injection molding<\/a>) etc – http:\/\/www.tormach.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n

They have a great training facility:

They had a nice looking ironman bust that was machined using their 4 axis CNC mill (finished left, roughed right):

An of course a few cabinets full of billet aluminum\/plastic\/steel parts:

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

One thing certainly worth stopping over for (if you’re not in the market for any heavy iron) is the blog, Andy is up to some ridiculous stuff I figured I’d only ever see in our shop, like scrambling an egg with a CNC<\/a>. . .<\/p>\n
