Built a What?!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The evening kicked off with an introduction to \u201cJoliet\u201d <em>(Jim\u2019s Overbuilt LED Interactive Entertainment Table)<\/em>. \u00a0The table\u2019s primary function is as a digitally enhanced version of the \u201cadult beverage game.\u201d \u00a0Our first presenter\u00a0built the table in less than two weeks, just in time for the Maker Faire name=\"target-toc-2\"><\/a><h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a name=\"target-toc-3\"><\/a><h3><strong>Solving a Lighting Problem<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When Kate and Jeremy moved into their new home, they immediately recognized the need for more lighting in their main living space.\u00a0 The lighting needed to be sizable, functional, and flexible.\u00a0 Kate had an idea for a tree-branch \u201cchandelier\u201d of sorts and found a 15-foot long x 8-foot wide cottonwood branch about a mile from their home.\u00a0 The couple agreed it was \u201cthe one\u201d and Jeremy carried it home.<\/p>\n<p>After four months of hard work, the branch lighting fixture is now a fully functioning part of the house.\u00a0 Kate documented the entire design-to-done process and shared it at the meeting.\u00a0 The fixture features 11 <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.meethue.com\/en-us\/about-hue\/what-hue-does\/\">Phillips \u201cHue\u201d bulbs<\/a> that allow Kate and Jeremy to customize the room \u201cPeriodic Table of Motion.\u201d\u00a0 This hands-on, interactive, and microprocessor-powered display will show how simple machines (screw, inclined plane, lever, wheel and axle, pulley, wedge) Halloween Carving<\/h3>\n<p>Tormach, a CNC manufacturing company from Waunakee (and friend of Sector67) has generously provided us with a new piece of equipment. \u00a0This new machine has the skill and power to take on many big projects, but we thought we&#8217;d start with a small one&#8230; a Jack-O-Lantern. \u00a0We&#8217;ll have many more projects and news about this generous gift in the
