I've read about Restoredane before but haven't made it out there yet, sounds cool Regarding electronics, I've got a pretty good supply of stuff ordering from Digikey over the years, unfortunately Radio Shack is the best place locally that stocks anything.

Is there any interest in putting together batch orders from suppliers? Occasionally I need $5 in stuff from Digikey, but you get free handling over $25, so I try to get parts for other people in the same order. clearly it would work only with local Sector 67 members, but that shouldn't be a big deal.

Sure, I order pretty often from Digikey. The joy of having a university address is that you get free shipping on every order Shoot me an e-mail or a PM next time your ordering and I'll do the same.

Just got back from the ReStore. They also have lots of little nuts/bolts for a buck a pound, drawer slides, hinges, brackets, etc. I just got a very exciting bag of parts for $18. I'll start a project page once I have pictures. Thanks for the tip on local resources.

I posted this the other day on my website, it's a good list of my favorite stores: A Few of My Favorite Stores. . .The website I usually pick up all my Arduino stuff from is Adafruit, if you need the Pro Mini boards or anything then you have to go to Sparkfun
