Hey there,
First time posting. Referred by a friend. My apologies if this isn't meant for troubleshooting.
Anyhow, I built an aquaponics greenhouse being run by arduino
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2yHmNeShkg, but it's having problems.
I'm using an Arduino Due with DS18B20 Temperature Sensors (
http://yourduino.com/sunshop2/index.php?l=product_detail&p=151) on a OneWire Bus. The +5V and Gnd wires are connected to the arduino through a breadboard and wire nuts. The communication lines are run through the breadboard, connected to +5V through a 4.7 kOhm pullup. Wire length is about 10-15' per sensor.
My six sensors all worked, though somewhat intermittently, for 6 months. Recently they stopped. Now I can't get a sensor search to work, and can only get one sensor at a time to work. Plugging in multiple sensors gives an odd result. When I do that, not just that sensor but all the sensors return +127.75 degC, which is not the failure code (-127 degC). Also, sometimes a relay output I have coming out from Analog port 5 flickers when I read the sensors. I have had communication issues before, but not like this. I can't figure out why they would fail in this way.
Any thoughts? I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance to any generous and awesome person who can help me get more sleep
