Had a dead HP 2550 laser printer, I pulled it apart for parts ending up with:
2 - 24V Solenoids
2 - 24V DC motors with optical feedback
1 - 7.5* stepper motor
2 - Magnetic clutches
Many - Optical switches
1 - Laser assembly, highly polished spinny thing with a few lenses
1 - 24V DC thin fan
Couple driver/interface parts boards
Precision ground rod
Lots of yellow toner everywhere :-)

Now I don't have any excuses for not learning how to drive stepper motors

I have a laser jet 4000 that is going to be chopped up as soon as I have some time. I'll post some pictures of the parts from that after its dismantled.

If anyone is looking for printers, I have:

1 HP Laserjet 4000
3 HP Lasetjet 4050tn
1 HP Laserjet 4100tn
1 HP Laserjet 4250tn

All have seen moderate use in an office environment, and all are free to a good home. I work at a law firm, and we have upgraded from these models a long time ago. I've pretty much been given the go-ahead to get rid of them by any means necessary, and nobody else seems to want them.

Send me a PM if you are interested.
