I am selling my 8051 Development board from school as I no longer use it. It is based on the AT89S52 chip, you could reprogram it and use it as an avr if you really want. It is set up with port expanders, so it has ports A-F all with 7 pins (Port E is connected to LED's). Here is more information on 8051 Development boards

Also, mine has a smaller "development" space on the side, only about 4pins by 50pins, with some female headers soldered on. The site that originally made this board is gone but that doesn't really matter. It is programmed over the serial port, it has its own boot loader, basically you just send a hex file over to program it. The link above has helpful code and compilers for working on these boards. I use a program called reads51 which is still around, and it allows me to program in c for it, you could also program in assembly. Basically, I haven't used it in forever and don't want to mess around with re-learning its capabilities. It also comes with a 20x2 character display
